Dr. Soren Rosier, Founder
Soren is the driving force behind PeerTeach, where he oversees product development and leads a team of talented engineers and designers. He is also a lecturer at Stanford University's Graduate School of Education, where he teaches courses on designing impactful tools for learning and formerly completed his PhD in Learning Sciences and Technology Design. Before PeerTeach, Soren co-led Stanford's Learning Design & Technology Masters program, preparing a new generation of ed tech innovators. A Harvard graduate, Soren began his career as a middle school teacher in Oakland and later worked at SRI International, where he developed and evaluated blended learning applications, including well-known ed tech tools like Khan Academy. Residing in Berkeley with his fiancée Erika and their charismatic cat Morty, the trio loves cheering on the Golden State Warriors and enjoying the East Bay food scene.

Kreg Moccia, Co-Founder
Kreg brings a wealth of K-12 leadership experience to PeerTeach, where he runs school outreach, onboarding, implementation, and support. Kreg spent 8 years as a teacher and school leader at MATCH and Achievement First charter schools. As a teacher, he raised his students’ algebra proficiency from 37% to 92%. As a school leader, he contributed to some of the highest AP exam pass rates among peer charter organizations nationwide. Kreg also managed academics and operations at an online math tutoring company, where he trained a remote team of tutors that served thousands of students across the US and Canada. He holds a BA from Harvard, where he studied alongside Soren, and a MA from the Relay Graduate School of Education. Currently residing in Oakland, Kreg and his wife enjoy exploring the outdoors through hiking, running lively board game nights, and honing their budding pickleball skills.

Lindsay Spears, Director of Curriculum
Lindsay leads curriculum development at PeerTeach, creating meaningful learning experiences for students through the materials her team crafts. Prior to joining PeerTeach, Lindsay led the math team at Khan Academy. She also taught secondary math for 8 years and created graduate level coursework for math educators. Lindsay studied Nonprofit Administration at the University of Notre Dame. When she is not creating content, Lindsay loves traveling to a new place, playing or watching sports (especially the US women’s soccer team), and solving jigsaw puzzles without first knowing what picture it will create. Lindsay lives in Virginia with the people who make her laugh the most, her partner and her three kids.

Krishan Mourya, Senior Software Engineer
Krishan is the lead engineer on the PeerTeach engineering team. With 9 years of experience as a full stack software developer, Krishan has a proven track record of building innovative and user-friendly technology that improves the lives of others. Krishan has previously worked with health and transportation engineering teams, developing software applications to manage complex challenges in these industries. Krishan is a master of Python, Javascript, React, Nodejs, Rust, and Flutter. Krishan is a collaborative team player who enjoys working with others to solve complex problems and deliver results that exceed expectations.

Melanie Dilascio, Curriculum Designer
Melanie is a Curriculum Designer at Peer Teach, creating engaging, exciting, purposeful instructional materials for students and teachers. Melanie joined PeerTeach with diverse experiences in edtech, K-12 and post-secondary education. Melanie spent 9 years as a math teacher in and around NYC. Her passion is to show all students they are capable of mathematical success when given the proper strategies, tools, and curriculum. Melanie holds a master’s degree in adolescent mathematics education from Iona University. Currently residing in NY with her husband and young daughter, Melanie loves spending time with family, eating tacos, attempting to golf, and showing how amazing the world is to her daughter.

Jackie Roeber, Curriculum Designer
Jackie collaborates with the curriculum team to design meaningful, engaging learning experiences for students. She brings over 26 years of experience as an elementary and middle school educator, mathematics specialist, instructional coach, and school administrator. Jackie studied Elementary Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She later earned a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University and a masters in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University. Jackie enjoys listening to music, singing, playing the piano, and traveling to beautiful places. Jackie currently lives in Arizona and loves spending time with her husband, daughter, stepdaughter, and her two adorable dogs.

Ojas Karnavat, Product Manager
Ojas Karnavat is an undergrad at UC Berkeley who started working with the PeerTeach team as a freshman in high school. Having gone through PeerTeach himself and loved it, Ojas became a dedicated team member and thoughtful advocate for creating the best possible student experiences. Ojas brought PeerTeach international for the first time with a pilot study in India in 7th grade classrooms.

Amy Hu, Learning Experience Designer
Amy is currently a senior at Monta Vista High in Cupertino, CA. She supports the PeerTeach team in developing meaningful learning experiences for students, conducting ongoing research through focus groups and user interviews. Amy also supports in the creation of PeerTeach trainings and curriculum.

Samyak Karnavat, Engineer
Samyak is as a full-stack developer for PeerTeach, specializing in data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Previously, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree at UC San Diego and worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon.

Sabrina Bedford, 2D Art Lead
Sabrina is the lead artist for PeerTeach's interactive educational system, the Galaxy Games. She is responsible for concept designs and asset development including avatars, backgrounds, props, and animations. Sabrina brings a decade of experience illustrating and designing dozens of published book titles and other products in digital and traditional media. She holds a MA in Visual Development from Academy of Art University and a BFA in Art and English from Stanford University. Sabrina currently resides in Santa Clara with her husband Andrew. In her free time, she loves drawing, writing, and hiking.
